roofing underlayment

i heard that roofing underlayment can be used for a cheap alternative to sound deadening, what do you think. Im looking more to stop vibrations than to deaden outside noise. Any ideas?

It can be used, but I'd only use it on horizontal surfaces, and not upsidedown IE: The floor.

Anywhere else and chances are it will fall off. It's only like 40 mils thick too. To see how it holds up, look at the reviews for edead regular, and regular dynamat on this page, it's basically the same thing, but a little worse.

And if you compare the price of it to Raammat which is almost twice as thick, you'll see it's not that great of a value, especially when it's asphalt based as opposed to Raammat's much better Butyl based formula.

how much would i need just to do the reaer deck and the whole trunk, and do you need to buy the spray too or does it have a sticky surface. What about the edeadv1, its only 1 dollar a sq foot, what have you heard about that, i read what the site has on it compared to rammate and it looks ok

v1 sucks, i have some doesnt do the job nearly as much as raamatt
just get a half roll of raam, if he will sell it, otherwise get the full roll and dont look back

ed v3se2 or whatev is supposed to cover the gap between asphalt and expensive butly we shall see when that comes out

The rear deck and the whole trunk, I'm thinking almost a whole roll.

Edead V1/V1.se is asphalt based, no good, did you read that link with the comparisons?
