My sub System

I've got a D3400.2 and a 15" eD KV.2 sub........well here's the problem:

I installed it months back and i've adjusted it for sound and stuff but this is someting i've found to be "wrong" with my sub or hookup. I don't know if it's normal or not.

I am using a Line out converter to hook it up to the rear speakers....
Whenever i set the Fade to the Rear, and Then Balance all the way left or right. The sub seems to hit harder than if the balance is in the middle.

Why is that?

the only thing that could be wrong is some messed up wiring... otherwise it would work normally.. although i dont really know about line out converters.. but that has to be the case.. otherwise that doesnt make any sense

Is this correct? i mean the wires all are bad but umm.....the one on the left is positive and the one on the right is negative wire from the line converter. no clue if its right or not but the black should be negative right?
