at what point in the system upgrade life cycle would you recoment a yellow top and a higher output alternator. Like obviously you dont need one if you just buy and aftermarket HU or prob not if you get an amp to power your mids and tweets, but anything after that you should how what do you guys think

costco is where I found mine the cheapest about a year and a half to two years ago....

but now adays, you kind find them even in walmart- are you sure that you can't find one ANYWHERE?

and high output alternators....too bad you have the 5sfe and not hte 1mz, or else you could swap in a highlander 130amp alternator for pretyy cheap.....but I'd say it'd probably be cheapest if you went to a local alternator/starter shop and got them to wind more wire into your alternator- otherwise, all those "performance" ones that you see out there cost a good 300+ dollars....too much if you ask me

why not get a red top? red tops can deliver the power quicker than the yellow tops.

I bought my 1st from my stereo guy, used it 2 years and smoked it, bought the 2nd from autozone, used it 1 year, took the serial #s off and put them on the older battery and took it back to autozone...they gave me a new one....did the same thing with the other one right before the warranty ran out....and they gave me another one........food for thought....keep your receipt
