Only have money for 1 set of Speakers at a time, Front or Rear first?
Sup guys, i have a 88 Camry and I want to upgrade the stock speakers, Front 2 speakers are 3.5" and go in the dash. Rear 2 speakers are on the dash and are 5.25". If I'm only going to upgrade 1 set at a time, what should I upgrade to sound best? The Fronts or the Rears? Also I plan to upgrade them with Alpine Type S speakers.
Definatley do the fronts, even if you cant afford a 2 or 3 way component setup....Just get 3-Way Speakers up front will make a world of difference.
Try it, if you do get 3-way speakers fade to the front only, and notice the difference in sound quality.
In my car i have 4 Alpine SPS 3-Way 6x9's, and when i fade to the doors only....oh boy there is at least a 50% increase in bass and the quality is amazing, alll the details come through.
id say rear, thats what i did on mine and it sounded pretty good with the stock ones still in the front, i guess it depends on the condition of the speakers too...
