Question Really bad background noise

Hi all,
I just had a new Alpine CDA-9851 HU installed yesterday and now I'm getting some very very bad background noise. I had a JVC HU before and didn't have really any issues except some minor alternator whine.
But now, when the engine is on, there is a ton of background noise that basically sounds like static. However, when the engine is off and the ignition is set to ACC, the noise is gone and just a nice clean signal is heard.
Any thoughts, suggestions, comments, etc. on what this could be and how I can go about correcting it? Could it be a bad ground connection with the HU? I don't suspect the amp since the amp was there before with no static noise.

I have an 02 Camry SE 5-speed.

Thank you all!

First thing, check ALL your grounds.

Seems to be the number one culprit of excess noise.
