Help!!!!!!!! should i buy the cables?

I was installing my two 10" subs w/ 400W amp. I set up all the wires correctly, power, ground, rca inputs, remote wire, and speaker wire from amp to subs. I have a good power (12.5) and a good ground. BUT my subs still wont bump... im stumped right now...and i cant see how my brand new rca cables can be bad...if i cant find an answer today im gonna try new ones, so plz help me save some $$. Thnxs

do you mean they are not putting out as much bass as you want them to or they are not working at all?

What ohm configuration are the subs? How are they wired? What amp is it?

Im not sure of the ohm configuration...i believe it is a two ohm. I am using a 400 watt pyramid, 2 channel amp and i bridged the subs off the amp. They do not work at all...i dont think im getting any input from my head unit.,

I did try another 300 watt boss amp, that was 4 channel..that did not work either

did you wire them in parallel or series?

if you did them in parallel and your reversed the polarities for one of the two subs, they'll cancel each other out and pretty much not bump at all

Double check the RCA wiring. I know you said you were sure it was correct, but it never hurts.

Since you're saying series, I assume they're multiple voice coil (d2 or d4) so be sure and double check you're subwoofer wiring - http://mobile.jlaudio.com/support_pages.php?page_id=161.

Does the amp have any kind of protection mode on it or anything like that?

Oh yeah, and make sure to check out the "Ultimate Audio Sticky" and the links contained within. Those might help you in solving your problem.

there are too many variables right now to determine what the problem is. I would start trouble shooting at the head unit and work your way back.

How did you verify that the amp is powered up?
