You'll need a CD with a sinewave and a VOM that can read AC voltage.

thank you very much for the sinewave files. Now what do i do...? my guess is that i play the sinewave through my head unit then use my VOM on AC voltage to see if there is any voltage? shoudl there be a spec specifically for my face or is there a general a/c voltage for all outputs?

Should do somewhere between 0.1-2 volts.

Do you have an amp? Are you trying to rule out a possibility for no sound?
