If you plan to run only one sub, I would look for a DVC with 2 ohm voice coils. Wire them in parallel to get a one ohm load. That amp is 1 ohm stable, and will put out 600 watts at 1 ohm.

If you ran the sub you mentioned, it would only get 250 watts.

Might as well take advantage of the amps 1 ohm capabilities.

true but at what cost? Amp meltdown in 3 months? 1ohm mono is tough on an amp...why do it if you don't need too.

would not be my first choice...but then again its not my car or money. I like Image Dynamics subs if you are going to buy at Sound Domain. I would not spend 60 bucks plus shipping for a 1.25 cuft box and i am not a big fan of the current orion amps. So all in all you could do worse I think, but I know you can do better.
