Question no more BOOM from the woofer

so this is what happened...

i had a stock HU connected to an amp... jbls on the doors and stock 6x9 on the rear and a 12" sub...

before... when i control the bass in my stock radio, the mirrors starts to vibrate at -3 (-5 to +5) already...

now i got my HU changed to a kenwood kdc-mp5028... seems like no matter what i do... the boom of the jbls is louder than that of the sub...

i can't feel my mirrors vibrating anymore...

now... i will go back to the shop that did my install and tell them my problem... is there anyway for me to tell them that without sounding like a loser that can be easily taken advantage of?

please help... i just want my "boom" back...

thanks

The System E's+ Advanced Crossover system is not set right, or the System Q Sound Control is not set right...?

umm...what's powering your sub?

you do realize that you have a decent HU now and it will be delivering the power that the JBLs needed but couldn't get from your stock HU?

well, how is the amp which goes to the sub getting the signal? if it's through the rear speakers, try fading the sound to the back to test it out.

What i know is someone here will clue you in on how to fine tune your amp to give you some more oompf.

so what amp is that again?

well... looking at my receipt... this is what i have....

quest 12" sub
bassworx 12" box
patriot amp
jbl gto626 (doors)

my newly added kenwood kdc mp5028

i just noticed one thing...

in this kenwood... you can turn off the built-in amp and only use your external amp... when i turned off the built-in amp... i can hear nothing... there's a problem there for sure...

even when i fade the sound to the rear... still can't hear the sub... very minimal...

the built in amp is only providing wattage to the interior 4 speakers.. front rear.. the sub, which is amplified, is running off its own separate amp, correct? the reason why when you turn off the built in amp the speakers dont work is because your interior speakers are not being driven by an external amp, therefore no sound. for the sub, check the gains.. what are the specs on all of your stuff? it might not be matched up very well power-wise.
