but will it be louder then the rockford or even the kicker?

never scene or heard of mb quart so im a little weary on that name brand but if it is as good as they say on some websites i might have to try it out the price is not that bad either.

It's made by Rockford Fosgate. Kinda like the top of the line RF amps. This amp retailed for almost 2K dollars.

^ Loud and clear, doesn't really mix.

You want sq, go with a class AB amp.

If you just want it loud, which sounds like it from what you've been asking/saying. A class D will work and its more efficient then class AB.

If you got deep pockets look into a Linear Power 4.1HVS. Tons of power, class AB, and built like a tank.

well i have a eclipse 8443 with a 8v pre outs i can go either way.

i can prolly get that diamond d6 for around 400. so the toss is between the mb quart and the diamond. as long as i got as much bass as the kicker that i had prevously hooked up with the mb quart it i would be fine.

^ Pre-out voltage on a headunit has nothing to do with amps, other then setting gain levels on the amp.

If I had to choose between Diamond and MB Quart, I'd go with the MB Quart for the class AB factor.

I personally have 2 Linear Power amps. 8002SW and 2502IQ.

The 8002SW would be perfect for your needs, if you can find one. But its a lot more then $400.

Arc Audio 2500 recommended above is nice too, but its also a lot more then $400.

^ It has to do with how the transistors are configured.

yeah depeding on how you align your connections in the transistors (through base collector and emmiters) you'll either get a class A AB B C D .....power amplifier. I dont believe B and C are used for audio. A basic power amp if 4 transitors but I think these are all multi stage (considering bjts here)

^ From looking in my electronics books theres a lot of technical aspects about it.

It explains biasing, power gain, load power, transistor power dissipation, current drain, efficiency, etc...
