Looking back!.. WOW was it really that much?

Alright well I went back to my folder with all the prices of my recent audio equipment buys and i was amazed at the total amount I spent

approximately $2133.50

WOW.. im pretty much in shock.. i wasnt really sure how much I had spent but now after looking I feel a bit embarrassed, because the stuff I bought was not excellent by any means to any real audio person. I was shooting for a great system, not that mine isnt in my own mind. But i know it could be alot better. I just typed this all out a few minutes ago and alot more info. Such as exactly what I bought, but i will probably do that later now, so it doesn thave a chance to do the same thing to me again.

Anyways what I was asking was If I had this $2000 something amount again, what would you guys sudjest? I had a great thread going before, to pursuade you to do this.. so now its lacking quite a bit. But if you have some free time or just feel like messing around, please try this for me. I am also subject to any comments or sudjestions you might have about mine or a new set up you might have in mind.

In this you would need to include all of the following:

H/U
Subs
Box
Wiring
Speakers
Battery
Alternator

Basically everything it takes to make a system complete. Like I said before, I wilol post up later about what my system is like now. I will even be able to take some pictures if you would like on friday or this weekend. Let me know and ill post um up for you.

Anyways I would really like to know what kinda system I COULD have had if not for my stupid decisions. I know there are far better things out there I could have gotten instead of my equipment. Please keep the money range to around $2000. You can go a couple hundred over for extra acessories such as alternator, battery, wiring if need be.

Thx for your time. I will probably post what I think would be good in my opinion based on the knowledge I have gained from other people on this site, and you can judge that set up too.

H/U - Eclipse 8053 $250
Subs - (2) 12" JL W3v2's ~$250
Box - Marv Box ~$300
Wiring - $100
Speakers - Peerless Exclusive 7" Mids ~$150
Speakers - LPG25NFA Tweets - $86
Battery - $150
Alternator - $300
Amp - MB Quart RAA2400 for the subs - $200
Amp - RAA4200 for the mids and tweets - ~$220
Baffles - $45
Sound Deadener - $110

Total is $2161. Wiring probably won't be near that price, I just threw it in their to be safe. You would have to purchase the HU and Subs Used, everything else would be BNIB

One of the reason I had better equipment is because MB Quart amps are cheap as dirt these days, giving me more flexibility for other stuff.

PS that's not my setup. I kinda misunderstood your topic and thought you wanted suggestions for a system for you with a budget of $2100.

here is my under-construction system. It's kinda hard to see though.

Box: Since we are on a budget, this one
Wiring:You can figure that out
Speakers: http://www.mobilesq.com/store/produc...products_id=38 (X2)

Well here is what I have:

H/U:
Kenwood KDC-4028

Subs: (2) Infinity Kappa Perfects

Speakers:
Polk Audio db6750 Comp. Set
Polk Audio db690 6x9's - I like the surround sound effect for some reason, but could probably work with high powered fronts

Amps:
MTX 942 2-Channel
MTX 564 4-Channel

So thats what I have basically... Blue top Optima, and Highlander alternator too..
This match is pretty good but idk.. I just feel like I could have done better

oo btw just asking but.. do you think I may have potenial of seeling this stuff and being able to build back something decent?.. I'm not really planning on doing this anytime soon, but the thought of knowing I may be able to is always enticing

Anyways.. like I said before. Do you guys think it would be benficial at all to sell some of my stuff maybe rebuild it up?.. i dont plan on doing this for awhile anyways, but do you think any of my stuff would fetch very much anyway?

Personally I'd sell it all, except for maybe the amps.

But then again I'm more into the high end stuff. My 2 amps alone was about $1000.

You have all high end stuff though and that doesn't come cheap.

I don't want to know how much I've spent over the years on car audio stuff. But I estimate atleast $3500 - $4000 just on equipment alone.

Only if you are doing the front doors, maybe the rear deck too.
