Power: You can use a inverter. It takes 12 VDC and converts it to 120 VAC.

Screen: Any screen with rca input (composite) will do.

Audio: I personally wouldn't use a FM modulator, but it does work.

Does your headunit have a aux input or cd changer input?

If it has a cd changer input, you might be able to get a cable that converts the cd changer input to rcas. Then you plug in the output from the PS2 into it.

^ what he said

and the new slim ps2 is perfect for use in the car- you can use a small 75w inverter that can be run without hte car on and for hours without draining your battery

also as 88le said...use an aux input if you have one, the fm modulator just makes things more complicated

just buy a PsP (playstation portable) and then you can take it were ever your heart desiers and still hook up ur ps2 to your car LOL... yes they do sell ps2 car kits...just go to a performance audio store in your area...tell them what ya need and were u want to mount/hide ur ps2 and they hook u up im sure of it... they dont coast that much but there not cheap also....

ALSO....i typed this in red becuase IT IS IMPORTANT!!!!....the new slim ps2's TEND TO OVER HEAT SO PICK WERE U WANT IT WERE THERE IS SOME AIR FLOW...i.e. under your dash (not near a heater vent) or under one of ur seats NOT IN UR GLOVEBOX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

yes true...but what does warm air do?....and what does colder air do??....get were im going...and ya know how water moves faster on the bottom of the river then the top...well the air in a car does the same thing....thats why i said put it were there is a good air flow...i never said u couldent put it next to a heat vent...looking back i think i said "i.e. under your dash (not near a heater vent)" b/c your heater vents under your dash always blow hot air (wile your weather control dile is on heat) from the air coming in wile driving. the vents under your seat dont or very little...and inless you live in alaska you dont need your heat on the whole time your in the car...or not at all...but you wouldent be driving a camry in alaska.

thought i would brake it down for ya...

actually, the slim ps2 doesn't overheat that badly....but then again, if it's hot, I always have my airconditioning on....

but by the same token, I do run it in my glovebox, but I've also cut out the entire back where the heat sinks are on the ps2, and I ran it all this summer even when it hit 40C with humidity, and it'd just keep on going, never getting any hotter (it runs warm all the time)

admittedly though, my original idea was to tap the air vent piping that runs behind the glovebox area, but that turned out to be too complicated, so I actually have a computer fan that I'm planning to hook up to the switch that I already have in my glovebox for the ps2 power

Not that I've given this a ton of thought, but wouldn't it be tough changing games/movies if you put it under a seat? Not impossible, but seems tough.

thats why i like the slim ones under the dash cuz you can mount it upside down and when you put the cd in it get locked in...and i guess if u have the bigger ps2 u should mount it under the seat so you can have the din slide right between your legs...but um yea....

oh yea get some wirerless paddles
