Bought some kenwood 6x9's and they suck! Please help.
My old and chep 6x9's started to make scratching noises like if was about to quit. So went to best buy to buy new speakers. So i talk to the guy that was there and i told him that i wanted some 6x9's that would give good bass witrh a 200 watt amp (clarion, din't tell him). I was thinking about the pionners that were there for like $80 but he said they were more for clear sounding audio, so then he said that the kenwood or some other brand that were under those speakers had more bass to hepushed the butto on thenm so i could hear, i noticed the difference and chose the kenwwod's because of their bass sound. So i get home and install them and they suck! they shake the rear seats pretty hard but does not even make any good base. the old 6x9's had more bass.lol so im thinking of taking them off and getting the $80 pionners. or does any one recomend a set of 6x9's that the sell? Oh and i bought that stupiud 4 year warranty. is there anyone that installed a good set and sounded very good with plenty of bass that reaches all the way to the front seats?
I have a 96 camry LE. Thanks.
But i do't want a sub. So you think i should go instead with the fronts? What do you recomend for those, ones that have great bass and that also have hight twitwer sound and that are loud?i Have heard some on a corolla once when i was on a gas station and that guy left his door open with the volume turned up high and man did they sound very good.
Do you not want a sub because of the box? Or because of the bass?
If it's because of the box, if I was in your situation this is what I would do.
In the rear deck, instead of using coaxials, use a dedicated midbass/bass driver. You can use a 6x9" bass driver, or you can have a baffle made so you can use an 8" sub..er, I mean driver . Run only frequencies below 100hz to these speakers.
This would be my first choice for a rear deck 8" speaker
Pioneers are usually good... better than Kenwood Products. I wonder if Premier are the same as Pioneer because I here Pioneer brings the power and Premier just don't bring out as much but it would last long...
oo crap man.. my polk audio db690's are nice.. i guess i have about 65 watts going to them though but, in general they sound awesome. I would recommed these too.. they have done me well so far
Im confused! best buy doesn't offer many 6x9's that are good and cheap. Bu the pioneers sound more clearerbut less bass. If i go back and excange them for front speakers wouldthey sound better even if the front doors arent like sealed for better sound out put,if you know what im saying.

^ I can't make up your mind for you. Thats something you have to do.
Go listen to some 6x9s or whatever your looking at. Go with what you like. Like I said above everyone hears differently. Thats the best advice I can give you, and thats coming from someone that use to work as a installer (car stereos & alarms).
I know what I like car audio wise, but my tastes are different then yours and a lot of other people for that matter.
I decided to get pioneer speakers for the front and back and they sound better thugh it has been a week ago. Well then myt dad bought a a heau unit for his truck and i asked him if i could try it on my car to see how it sounds and he said ok, so i put it on and wowo it sounded way better than my jvc, i guess that the my problem with me not getting the sound i wanted was because of the jvc. I now want to sell it and get that alpine that my dad bought or a more expensive one like a $200 dollar one. The jvc head unit is a KD-LX111 which we had it about like almost four years, right now it is sitting next to me and i don't really plan on putting it back on. The Alpine is a CDE 9842, a $130 unit from best buy. Wound anyone recomend a slightmy better alpine unit than this one or is this one ok?
