I have used the QAA4250 and installed the RAA2400. They are nice amps. Both qaa and raa have very minute turn on/off clicks, but if you are not competing, it's not a big deal. I like silent amps because they are mounted right near me, and hearing an amp in the background isn't something I want. So I sold the QAA. But man, that thing sounded awesome, tons of power.
One thing to note though is that these are not easily serviceable. So make sure you have some kind of replacement warranty.
The RAA amp was very quiet(I think they are fanless) But they are known to have a small turn on click.
There are a ton of deals on Arc Audio amps right now. I bought two used 2100CXL's pretty cheap.
Keep an eye out on the for sale forum at elitecaraudio and diymobileaudio
well, i was looking for a good amp to replace the jl e series i have (bought it intending to use it for a different sub) im reusing an old box thats been sitting around for a while, and making it into a ported box. (just happened to be 2.8 cubes net )
i like the idea of using this amp because i will have some overhead, i was also thinking about a candence amp, but it would only give me 800wrms at 2 ohm .
any other ideas... i know they have reconditioned ones on ebay, not too sure about that...
I hear they are made by maxxsonics, and i was talking to someone who has used their amps and they run ok...
well, i usually use it in a sealed enclosure giving it no more than 100 watts, but ive almost got a ported enclosure for it, and wanna give it around 800-900 watts... i dont intend to drive it to the max, i got a good deal on this from a guy i know over at elitecaraudio.com/caraudioforum.com (whiterabbit/spitvalvev2.0) and dont intend to destroy it any time soon.
