I'm thinking of moving my voltmeter to here
Just wondering what you guys think of it?. Right now its held by a little wood block with some wiring exposed, so i really dont like it. But my proposed spot would mean drilling a hole in the plastic, a rather large hole. So im going back and forth.
Thoughts?

gauge pods yea i dont think look good as singles. Also the reason Im not going for a higher mount is theft prevention, i want to be able to cover it as I do park outside and dont want to gives thieves any reason to go poking around.

i wanted to originally like nate had done in his gen 4. but that requires too much cutting for my taste, plus that entire area is going to be taken by a 7" lcd soon enough

If you are really worried about theft, you could move it a little more back and put it in the cup holder. Then you wouldn't need to drill that big of hole. Just enough to run wires into the cup holder, if there isn't an opening into them already. Then just use the rear cup holders for your drinks, it's a little bit of a reach. But still doable.
