problem with stock head/amp 05 TACO

I am considering keeping my stock head unit, because I really like the fact that it doesn't draw much attention to itself...

Here is the whole reason I wanted to get rid of it..

There is no lead from it that controls a power ant or remote turn on.

Thus I now have the amp remote hooked up the the ignition wire. It works but when I am driving and I want the radio off, I can here the hiss from the noisey head unit.

Thus I have thought of buying an aftermarket head unit.

Any other options? (other than a cut off switch on the amps power?

You can put a switch on the remote wire.
