So my next project is slowly rolling around, its to implement a carputer into the camry. Most of my forum activites will be going down on mp3car. Heres the link to my worklog there.

Ah damn.. never paid attention to the user name... lol, That's me who commented in your thread. I'm hoping to get mine started soon.. I'm just wonderin how the hell a Xenarc or Liliput is gonna fit in there.... everyone else's car has ample space to do BS... we're sorted restricted by the leather(ish) stuff surrounding the radio

im hoping to spend less than 500 bucks. This is hopefully accurate because my only true major cost that I have remaining is the screen itself.

I was looking at the measurments for the 7" lilli and it will fit, were just gonna have to cut away at a decent chunk of the plastic surrond, im more concerened of its strength after i do that. And of course there are no other camry installs, how that is i have no clue!?

There is a bezel kit out there that some guy makes for a WRX(d-din) that works with the Liliput 7" screens. It does involve taking off the outer trim ofthe lilliput though.

Cooling Setup

Everything is wired to a set of disconects so that I can remove it later on with ease.

5 fans blow air in, it spreads and exits via the 4 outer holes.

Later on I will replace my 6x9's with bigger fan to get some air into the trunk from the cabin

Lookin good so far!

Mine just died!!!!! But I was expecting this since I used spare parts and the HD's were really old. I bought a new AMD 2400+ Athlon Mobile XP machine with 512 megs of ram and 80 gig HD for a little under 200.

Yea the HD pretty much died on me. The motherboard is brand new, the processor is fine. So I just sold that + the ram and good HD to my brother lol. So now i'm working on a nice mount in my other trunk sidewell.

Argh.. I'll move on to this later int he summer.. It was this or a iPod last week, and I chose the iPod cuz i didn't have my car back yet and I like instant gratification (Except sex >_>)

I'm gettin the Pioneer DEH P7800 soon too. But yea.. i've used Roadrunner on my home PC to get a feel for it.. I like it
