Deadening question for Cam or anyone else who has a Taco

I am about to deaden my doors and it occurs to me that the inside of the door's plastic panel has a really boxy area down by the mid/bass. Did you deaden the plastic's interior surface as well? How about building up a barrier so that mid bass plays out of the speaker grill and not the inside of my map/cup pocket? It looks like a distortion generator.......

I really don't have access to a camera right now.

I am talking about the inside of the map/drink pocket molded into the plastic door panel. There is a large void on the inside of this panel stretching back from the bottom speaker. I'm pretty sure your x-runner has the same pocket.....

You mean fill up the extra empty space on the back side of the door panel? Which would direct all of the sound out through the grill.

Sound is not like water in pipe. You don't necessarily need to channel 100% of it out through the speaker grill.

But if it's really bugging you, you could fill in the empty area with some foam, but I doubt it would make much of an audible difference. It might add a slight bit of noise dampening though.
