3rd Generation Kicker L5 vs. Type R

aight guys im debating on these 2 subs 2 Kicker S12L5 D4 or 2 Alpine Type R 10" D4? and i have a Hifonics BX1000D as a amp. or can someone else recommend me a better sub(s) for the same price range?($200)

I've had my R12 since '02 and I love it...Only 1 but it's enough for me. Rattles the shit out of my trunk and shakes the rearview and sideviews.

also depends on the box ur gonna put it in. A bad sub can sound pretty good in the right box and a great sub can sound bad in a bad box.

I have my R12 in a sealed enclosure and it still bumps nice. I play mostly rap music and i've heard ported is better for that. I might have to switch boxes in the future.

well if i can choose other subs what size do u prefeR? If you go on Partsexpress.com the dayton audio subs r flawless. They r cheap and still sound good.
