4th Generation sat radio help

I have a question about satellite radio

what do I need to get sirius, I have an alpine 9847 head unit that is sirius ready, so do I just need the antenna or do I need anything else.

I think you need the SIR-ALP1 SiriusConnect for Alpine, Model: SIR-ALP1.

That is correct, you actually need the Sirius receiver, which should come with its antenna also. The headunit only acts as the display and control interface.
