My friend is looking for some quality midbass speakers without spending too much. He already has a tweeter setup and is now deciding on some 6.5 midbass spekers that are good to compliment them. Can anyone help me find some? I would sure like to impress this guy. BTW his money budget is nothing over 150 max. Im sure he would love to spend as little as possible but will sacrifice a little to get quality. Thx in advance guys!
edit: he isnt running an amp, just the headunit.. sry for the confusion. He is using MTX Tweets, which im not sure, not sure if he has them crossed over with his headunit or not?

Would these be worth a crap without amping them? I doubt this guy is gonna go too serious, and i have a feeling not alot is going to impress him a shit load. Basically its just gotta ge better than a stock blazer speaker haha. He wants something nice though, and he's willing to pay for it. This way, if he does decide to amp he will have speakers that can handle it
He doesnt have an amp? so he isnt running active... i dont think. His mounting depth im not sure of but its for a blazer?.. oo and its also 6.5". tweeter is MTX mounted on the that plastic piece along the windshield. And freq. im not sure, i dont think he has it crossed over with the headunit but i could be wrong. Which brings me to wonder how he has 4 speakers and 2 tweeters hooked up? I'll have to ask him a little ore info, but thats the best i can give at the moment.
it would help to know the frequency response of the tweeter and the mid you are thinking about.
I dont know the freq. because i dont know exactly which ones they are. They are mtx ones thats all i can say. And im asking for your opinion on midbass so how would I know what I want? Apparently no one is gonna help me out though. All im really looking for is some good quality speakers. Its not going in someones car who is concerned solely on wether it fits the freq range. Just if it has a good bass line and if it sounds good. This guy does not know car audio well so anything above stock is a huge improvement. I figured this would be an easy question, but no one has seemed to have the answers. Or even one sudjestion.
u can do what i did. get coaxials, cut the tweeter connections and wire them to the separate tweeter....mine sounds awesome, ghetto i know but it works when u have no money.
