Which way to face my sub

So, I built a cab for a 10" sub, but I didn't like how much leg room it sacrificed, so I did it again for an 8". I have a 200w 8" polk coming from Crutchfield and it should be great when I have it all together.

So, I realized today, that I could either fire the sub into the back of seat, or space it a tad (like 1") and fire it right into the steel wall behind my seat. Suggestions? That might be a cool way to experiment.......

Pics coming soon, now that I am almost done with this install.

(wait until you see what I am covering this sub cab with......... )

firing it into the steel wall might make it vibrate thus making it sound bad...

With only 1" between the hard surface of the back wall and front of the sub it will most likely "pre-load" and won't sound very good. A console as mentioned would be a great idea if possible otherwise firing into the back of the seat will sound better (and give you a massage if it's behind the drivers seat )
