Question HU install help

Ok i have a 97 camry. its my first car and it has stock casset HU in it. I got a alpine CDE-7872 HU off a freind with no manualfor the HU and no manual for the car. The Alpine was in a Bronco before my car.. i was woundering if anyone could help in on installing this.. i have already removed the old HU and dont know which wires i should connect to wich other ones.. I could use some step by step help ..lol...please help im very new at this thanks.

go to ur local car audio store and buy a wire harness for the ur specific car and the just match the colors that's it

That or you could look in the "Ultimate Audio Sticky" in this forum and just match colors. Easier to do with a wiriing harness though.

If a wirirng harness is out of the question this is what i do- I use a multimeter or test light to find acc and hot wire. For the speakers i unscrew the speakers and see what colour the wires are and they usually correspond with the ones that come out in the dash. As for the HU look at the alpine website, in most cases the whole range share the same plug and colours.

u dont have to do all that...red is power, black is ground, blue is remote, and for the speakers u could just look at the wires connected to them and match them w/ the one's on the radio. new cars should come w/ the same colors as the radio harness.

You could always look in the audio sticky...It has all the Toyota colors and the matching standard aftermarket wire colors in a chart
