Gen5 Amp reinstall help!

i took out my amp and sub a month ago, now i'm trying to reinstall them. i rewired everything correctly. but when i try to put the inline fuse back (on the power wire), the fuse blows? i never had that problem before. i've gone thru 3 fuses already.

the original fuses are:
1 30A inline fuse
2 20A amplifier fuses

the 30A (inline power) fuses get blown when i put it in the fuse holder. i made sure that nothing is turned on, even the key is out of the ignition, and the fuse still blew. shuld i rewire the amp in a certain order or sumthin? wut am i doin wrong? theories, guys...

You should always do that. I'm surprised you didn't blow your ACC fuse

Gen5 negative

well, i looked at the Crutchfield tutorial on amp installation. they say to disconnect the negative battery terminal first. i did that, then i connected all the amp wires n fuses, then put back the negative battery wire. everything was fine. looks like i'll use this procedure from now on.
