Point them to the rear or put them in the rear deck

Here's a great article on this subject. On the other hand the low end could be quite dangerous with the proper infinite baffle set-up hanging from the rear deck as cam mentioned

rear

especially in sedans...

from personal experience, i'd have to agree with the article. for the most part, bass performance will be good with the box against the rear seats with the subs firing to the rear.

the best performance i ever got was with the box all the way to the rear tailights and the subs firing upwards (towards the trunk lid). of course, it's the least practical position for trunk space.

I just read that hole article. I have my sub facing sideways, I guess I'm missing out on bass. (Runs out to move sub around... )

well i made my ported box for my 15" L7 and i have it facing the trunk lid...to me it sounds better that way but i still feel there's bass lost somewhere in there or maybe im expecting more out of 900watts lol.

Hmmm, 900 watts should crush your head. I have 420 watt RMS going to my single 12" and it crushes my head. Maybe because it's in a smaller car.

yea 900 watts does make it sound great but...i want more lol. there's a lot of bass lost in the trunk since it's such a small trunk. i was thinking of making a box w/ a port going to the rear deck.
