Do I need an amp?

Hey, I just got my first car a few weeks ago and I was hoping you guys could help answer a few questions. I have a 06 Honda CRV EX.

1. Stock, there are 4 speakers and 2 tweeters. I'm planning on just replacing the 2 front speakers and possibly the tweeters if needed.. is this ok, or should I replace the passenger speakers too?

2. I'm getting a new HU with something around 18W.. pretty weak. I'm not getting a woofer though, so do I really need an amp? Would it help the new speakers alot? What if I got the rear speakers too?

That's all I can think of right now, thanks.

Depends on what type of speakers you are getting.... Some good quality splits and a 2x70w amp of something like that might sound aright.

I would definitely get an amp. Makes so much of a difference.

I'd get a decent 6.5" component set for the front, leave the rears stock for now and get an amp for the front speakers.

If you'd like equipment suggestions post up a pricerange on the total you want to spend. Keep in mind wiring can cost ~50 bucks and you should also used an MDF baffle to mount the mids in the doors.

50 bucks worth of deadener will definitely be worth the cost.

I would deaden the front doors at the minimum, it helps alot.

What do you mean by deaden? I think I have an idea of what you're talking about, not sure though. That stuff you spray on to make the door not rattle? lol, thanks.

This is for my Tacoma, but it applies to any vehicle really.

It helps with midbass because you now have a more solid enclosure for the midbass. Also helps with rattles and roadnoise.

I'm doing my whole interior. The doors are most important though.
