take it back to the dealer and see if it's still under warranty .... i thought it was illegal for them to install remote start on a manual car for the reason you just mentioned could of killed someone or hit a car

No it isn't illegal, but most shops just don't like to do it because America has become sue-happy.

They make remote starts now that are supposed to detect whether or not the car is in gear, and if it in, it isn't supposed to start. Remote starts on manual are SUPPOSED to be safe now, but I haven't had an experience with one, so I don't know.

i have an alpine alarm and car starter in my truck, but i did the install myself. lets face it most places put the alarm on the steering colum. make sure the car starter they sold you was for a standard cause the have a switch that won't let it start unless its in neuteral. i had made the mistake of not checking what i first got and i ended up with one from future shit that was for an automatic, but the 17 year old car tech told it was for a stick. first time i used it my truck she did a rabbit hop into my neighbors car. thank god i saved the paper work on the intall cause it did over 1500 in damage to his car and 800 on mine. so the store claimed they were not responsible till i got a lawer the store paid quick to keep it out of the paper guess.
