4th Generation Installing new head unit into Gen4 Camry

Hi,

I have a '98 Gen4 with a radio/cassette player and wish to install my new Sony head unit.

Some questions before i start:
(1) How do i detach a the dash board plastic and such?
(2) Are the wires supplied with my new head unit the same colour as the ones used in the car?
(3) Is every speaker wired individually by defualt or do I have to change the wiring?
(4) Regardless of question 3, do i have to do anything other than connect the wires?
(5) Do Gen4's come with electric radio attennas? If so why doesn't mine work atm? If not why does mine seem to be?
(6)Off the topic: Is it hard to installed cruise control? Could you please point me to some guides?

Thanks

the site cam2xrunner will answer pretty much everything.
but what do you mean by electric antenna? you mean the ones that are motorized that retract and extend up and down?

i dont know what camry you have but if you have a CE it probably has the permanent rod antenna, if you have some other trim levels, the antenna is probably built into your rear windshield. i know mine is.

4th Generation

Yes, I do mean the motorised one that moves up and down.

I'm in Australia, the models seem to ave different names. Mine is "CSI". It is pretty much the base the model, just v6.

Yes, I have looked at that link, it is very helpful. Thankyou.
