Opinions On Setup

What do you guys think about this setup?

i'd like some opinions on it...

i've never done any car audio stuff before other than relace my headunit with an aftermarket...

it's gonna be for a 98 celica, i'm not an audiophile but i'd like to have some nice sound in the car... so i dunno.. the setup might be way more than i need... not sure.. which is why i wanted some opinions

this is just a starting point i guess... most likely won't be able to afford all these unless i can find some great deals on them...

or if you can suggest something similar quality with lower price would be nice too

i'm not sure how it's gonna turn out but the reason for the small subs is because i want to put them in the stock rear speaker locations... and people said those are decide subs with quite a bit of bass for its size:

- Image Dynamics Chameleon CXS62 Component Set

- 2 x Elemental Designs Eu-700 Subwoofers

- 2 x Rockford Fosgate P300.2 Amplifier

as for a head unit totally no clue... maybe one of:

- Eclipse CD4000
- Alpine CDA-9857
- Kenwood Excelon KDC-X790

I've heard less than stellar things about those EDs. But might as well give 'em a try. You could check out ED's other stuff, I know they're having groupd buy/forum deals on lots of stuff right now, so look into that. Other than that, good stuff for cheap, I'd check forum FS sections and E-bay.

Depending on how much room there would be between the speaker and trim, you may be able to incorporate a baffle that might allow for a bigger speaker.

Other than that though, most companies it seems make 8" subs (RF, Pioneer, Sony, ID, ED, Dayton, Alpine, etc...; though personally I might ignore the RF and Sony and check out the other stuff first). Check out Cam2xrunner's list of "Whats good, whats not so good..." car audio stuff. There's a section somewhere in there on brands of subs, I'd start there.

I'm not saying you shouldn't go ED, but to shop around. I've heard bad things about all kinds of speakers, but in the end, its up to the listener as to "whats good".

yea when i looked @ cam2xrunner's post it said ED was compareable to ID which was why i looked at it...

what do you think about my choice of amps for powering all my stuff? i'm not sure if i should use
two 2-channel amps
or
one 4-channel and one 2-channel amp
or something else
