Need a radio harness for a 1991 MR2

My MR2 factory radio in it identical to this one here:

The cd player has that problem where it cuts out and plays sound from only one speaker after 20 seconds. I went and bought a double DIN system from a 1997 Supra with the external AMP that has plugs for the standard 2 prong deal in all 1987-mid 1990s Toyota.

However, the MR2 has a male prong that would hook into the radio in the link above.

What gives?

This is my 3rd MR2 and the other 2 had the standard 2 prong plugs. They also had the premium sound with the factory sub behind the driver's seat. This is one strange setup in my current MR2.
