stereo problem

i just put a CD player in my tercel and it i get a sort of a squealing sound out of the speakers, they also don't seem to be getting full power. the squealing comes when a low tries to hit, the cone of the speaker doesn't move really at all.
anybody know what this could be?? its pissing the hell out of me

I'm not sure what it could be however I moved your thread to the audio section so more knowledgeable people will see it. I left a redirect in the E body forum so it will still get attention here.

I think you answered your own question in the other post about this. If applying pressure in your wiring is a temp. solution for the problem, then attempt a rewiring with more secure connections.

i have already rewired the thing twice.
every wire is more than connected properly, i thought it was strange that applying pressure would be a temp fix.

Maybe its something internal to the HU then?
