3rd Generation My System Setup

Just Recently I Purchased Four JBL GTO1204D 12" Subwoofers Each Recommended At 300 RMS Each With The Max. RMS Of 1200 And Two Phoenix Gold Octane R 15.0:1 Mono Amplifiers. I Have Two Boxes Back To Back Each Holding Obviously Two Subwoofers In The Trunk Of My 1996 Toyota Camry LE. Each Pair Of Subs Is Hooked Up To One PG Amplifier. I Have Each Running At A Steady 2 Ohm Load Putting Out About 1000 Watts To Each Pair Of Subwoofers Of Course I Have The Gains Set Low So Not To Blow Voice Coils Left And Right. But I Didn't Think These Subwoofers Would Be Able To Take Such A Beating. I Give Credit To Phoenix Gold With Thier Octane R Amplifiers I Think They Are Underrated In There Power They Put Out And Of Course JBL On Thier Subs. What Do You All Think Of My Whole Set Up?

X2.

Seriously, where's the rest of your system? Some bump in the trunk does you no good if you can't hear anything else up front.

If you want some serious rattle-your-car-to-pieces type stuff, you need to be looking into some CV 15's and a couple large, say, Hifonics amps.

But don't forget, its all in the install (LOL!)

yeah very true its all in the install. you went with 4 subs? if you used the money you used to buy 4 subs you could have probably bought one or two much better quality subs. but hope all goes well in your install. peace
