auto roll up and down

I've been searching and was wondering if anyone knew how to make the windows roll up and down on a factory Karr alarm. Like being able to walk away from my truck and arm the alarm and the windows roll up by itself, or be able to roll down the windows to cool the truck down before getting in. Any help would be greatly appreciated

I'm using DEI's window automation unit. Not sure if it'll work with a factory alarm though.

^ Look under window automation system. The 530T would do what you want (roll up/down).

You need a armed responce output and auxilary output.

It may or may not work with a factory alarm. I've never installed one to a factory alarm, only aftermarket alarms.

these units use thermal circuitry and may or may not last that long (3 months to a year, in some cases, theyll last forever, who knows) so if it goes out, you either have to bump the voltage up or get a new unit altogether. when it does go out, it means you wont be able to use your windows.

also, DEI's 530T is only good for two windows, if you want 4 windows, you have to buy 2

just some food for thought before you get one, and go ebay if you do. that unit costs around $80 retail, on ebay around $50-$60 new.

So far it didn't work, but I'm not sure if i'm hooking it up right. I'm not even sure if the factory alarm has what I need to hook it up. I'm gonna do some more searching and try it again

Just out of curiosity, why? Why do you need to have all the windows roll up when you're walking away? It takes 2-3 seconds of sitting in the car and holding down a button. I have manual windows and they're great. I guess it's more for the because-I-can reasoning?

its called convenience. and not only does it do auto up, you also get one touch operation. as in push once up or down to fully roll up or down, a very good plus!

another plus: you can vent the windows in hot summer days that reach 103 o_o

Well, I did it. I figured it out and i was wiring it wrong, plus one of the wires from the alarm was hooked up to a relay which was throwing me off at first but i figured it out, and now its soo awesome. Walk away and the windows just roll up. I don't have to sit and wait for the windows to roll up, I can just turn off the engine and leave now.
