HU direct connect to speaker sounds better than going through factory harness ?

I replaced my HU and front speakers recently on a Gen 4 Camry. Since the front right factory speaker & wire screwed up long ago. I connected the front right speaker directly to the HU with 18 Ga wires and the front left speaker went through the factory harness since the wires were good. For some reason now it sounds like the front right speaker produces better sounds than the front left one? Is this not normal? Or am I just not sitting in the middle of the car? Thanks

Good question

Well let's see from what i can remember,
Where does it seem like the sound is coming from? the front center of the car? or the front far right of the car? If it is coming from the front center of the car then all is well i believe. But if it is coming from the front far right of the car, then possible you are right about the direct HU wiring being better then the factory wiring. As far as that goes, i wouldnt think factory wiring or direct wiring to the speaker would make a difference because even though better grade wire may improve wattage performance, i dont think an oem headunit can pump that much wattage to make any difference. But then again how old is the car iteself, if it is kinda old it is possible that the oem wiring can be fautly. Just my unprofessional 2 cents
