Canada factory amp location

Hello!
I have a 2006 Corolla CE, with the base model stereo. I already replaced the stock head unit with a Sony, which was pretty easy with a wiring harness adapter.

Question is this: I am now upgrading everything. New speakers, new subs. I want to make sure the quality of everything is great, so this includes getting rid of any stock amplifiers. Can someone tell me where they are located in this car? Are there even any?

I have searched this, and no result.

It does not appear to be the same as my old 93 Celica with the System10, which had the amp under the passenger seat.

You may want to check behind the glove box. That is where the amp is located in my 2006 Camry SE.

Correct me if im wrong but if you have abase model then there is no external amplifier. Isn't it built into the deck?

That is what I was thinking, but wasnt sure. The power iso low, I dont doubt it. The purpose is mainly for power consideration as the stereo gets upgraded. Dont want to be feeding power to stock amps if they are not being used.

Your rear speakers are 6x9" and Im pretty sure the front ones are 6.5", but Crutchfield only lists one 6.5" speaker that fits so the stock ones are most likely shallow mount ones.
