Ok 1 more problem for me to deal with,
i replaced the 2 rear 6x9's that were in my 02 solara, but it seems the speakers that were there were more or less 6X8's with a plate that let it fit perfectly in the hole. My problem is my 6X9's dont fit at all in the speaker holes in the rear deck, they are totally oversized and the only reason the stock fit in is because of the 3 bolt stock plate that the speakers were built upon. Is there a specific adaptor that allows 6x9s to use the 3 bolts available to secure the speakers? I've searhed all over and havent found them, but maybe one of u audiophiles have figured something out.
My fix was to use washers that fit snuggly around the factory bolt, which barely gripped the sides of the speakers, and after about a month they have slipped out anyway. Any suggestions?
