I recently purchased a 2007 camry and would like to start working on the audio. Has anyone removed the door panels to see what size of speakers will fit? Has anyone removed the dash panel to see what size the tweeter is? I don't have the JBL system, but I believe the speaker size should be the same. I have had difficulty finding any ratings on the stock alternator. It looks fairly week. Has anyone rated it or found a replacement? Thanks for the help, Mike Gettinger.
Hey, those are the best ones to work with. I am in the looking faze right now. I realy dislike pulling the things apart when I can't do anything to it. Not too mention that it rattles if you don't replace the clips. Eventually, my HU and amp will be replaced with the Eclipe CD7000 (AV7000 if I can afford it) and the XA4000. I currently have some old eclipse comps that could go in it. They just aren't my favorite. I realy liked my past JLXR650's. I will either go with them or a set of Dynaudio running active. My last car was a olds alero and it had zero clearance for speakers. I had to remake a quarter of the door panel to allow for a set of 6.5 comps. Judging by the size of the camry door, i am going to guess it has some good leeway.
My Gen 4.5 has 6.75" woofers in the door and a tweeter inside of the door mirrors that were about 1". Gen 5 had 6x9 speakers in teh door and a 3" or 4" tweeter in the dash.
The rear shelf speakers in Gen 3-5 are 6x9.
This doesn't really answer your question, but it should give you a general idea.

Well, the 2AZFE is past Gen's uses 80 or 100 amp alts., so I'd say stock the cam comes with the 80 amp alt, unless for some reason the upgrades you got required a bigger alt. then it'd probably be the 100 amp one. Nothing' out on the net yet, I'd call your local parts department and ask them.
