4th Generation AutoPage RF-420 LCD questions

I just got it installed. I'm liking it so far.

Heres some background. My camry came from the factory with the basic alarm system, along with keyless entry and immobilizer (chip in key).

With this new system, the shop told me i can still use the factory remotes, but it would confuse the system and eventually make it not work or need to be reprogramed. (i dont know if thats true or not but i'll believe em).

It seems like both systems are activated together still, but i dont think they both go off together when something is triggered.
And that's fine with me too!

But i tried opening the door with a key, autopage alarm set off, but i could still start the car just fine. I thought the autopage was supposed to dissable my ignitions eventhough i do have a chip in my key.

And then theres just other features that i have yet to find out how to 'activate' as the manual is not that clear to me (overall written pretty well though). I may call my shop and e-mail autopage on those items, but im just curious if anyone here knew about my questions above.

Your Alarm "Should" imobilize the ignition....thats if it was hooked up correctly. You should have them check thier wiring.
