A Power Difference???

I wandering if is there something wrong with the factory wiring on my Camry... This is going to sound weird but the passenger side of the car is getting more power than the driver side. There is definately a difference in the bass in both the 6x9's and the 6 1/2's but why? I really can't tell the difference in my tweeters but there might be a slight chance of that happening too. The only thing I can do to prevent it is adjust the balance 2 markers to the left and the only thing that would do is cut some of the power on the passenger side and the driver side would still be the same. I running it straight off the HU so there is no amp for those speakers....

I deciding to get a 4 channel amp for everything and the other question is what would be a good 4-channel amp to run Pioneer Premier 4-way 6 1/2's and Pioneer 5-way 6x9's?

The 4 channel amp probably won't fix the problem. Most likely, you HU has a problem in the left channels. If the car has a filter (cap and resistor) between the speakers then there could be a leacky cap. Those are normaly located on the fuse panel in most vehicles. Since you have a problem with the front and rear channels, I would bet a internal ground issue on the HU.

The easiest way to see if the HU is at fault is to switch the wires. Place the left channel on your right speakers. If the problem follows, then the HU is at fault. If it stays on the same speakers then a wire, filter or speakers are at fault. When you wire up the HU, is the negative wire shared by more than one channel? If so, rewire it. You may have a poor connection. Otherwise, you will probably be better off sending the HU in for repair. If the problem is not related to the HU, then ask for specific help on your car make, year, and stereo from the forum. There are plenty of individuals that know the electrical wiring and if filters would be used.

do professionals always put accessories on the HU to try to make it sound better and don't tell customers? My Car is a Toyota Camry 92 LE and I know that my driver side interior light and my rear left window doesn't work as far as electrical work goes...

If you are refering to the filters mentioned above, they are OEM. When you see a car with seperate tweets in a OEM system a filter or external amp (with crossovers) is used. If you don't have a OEM amp, then there are probably filters. In most cases they are only on the tweeters. That doesn't mean that low pass filters couldn't be used on the mid or 6x9. If you had the stereo professionaly installed, then have them look into it. If you remove the stereo, they could try to void there installation warranty. Meaning you would have to send the HU out to the manufacturer opposed to going through them.

I kinda know what it is now but some of it still doesn't make sense... The Rear Left (driver) side speaker is blown only the mids work on it and the woofer isn't moving at all so I have to replace both as of result. I still think that there is some kind of difference on both sides in the Camry!!!
