2004 corolla and navigation

I just wanted to thank TN forums. The electrical schematic made the installation of my eclipse navigation much easier. I was having a realy hard time finding the speedometer signal. After ten minutes of searching the pdf, I had it found and hooked up. I had the choice of putting it in our 2004 corolla or 2007 camry. After getting the dash kit, I wished that I placed it in the camry. I should have read closer to find out that corollas don't have a double din kit available. The nav is installed using the original HU brackets. The kit is currently being cut to accomodate the double din. I had to remove the pocket, sand downd over 1/8 inch on the top and bottom to get the monitor to flip out. Now I am fiberglassin up the holes and smoothing out the kit to make a trimp piece. I should have it done by tuesday afternoon. I will post a pic after it is installed. Later, Mike.

They aren't perfect, but it is much better than having a gaping hole around the Navi. Now I just need to convince my wife to let me replace the speakers. It is her car (if you couldn't tell). She freaked when I told her that I pulled the radio to begin with. Of course my previous car (a alero) was a work in progress for three out of the four years I owned it.
