Gen5 Gen 5 Camry Dash Speakers

I used the search feature but didn't quite come up with my answer so sorry if this was already covered but i have a quick question. Ok so i just replaced all of the 6 x 9 speakers in my car and am now looking to get some good tweeters. Now i always thought those speakers in the dash right under the windshield were stock tweeters but i read in another thread somewhere that they are little normal 3" speakers. Is this true? Or could i just buy some tweeters and throw them in there? Would i need a crossover to?

Yeah, you probably need a crossover for your tweeters

Infinity makes full range speakers that you can substitue with the factory without custom work. I recomend that you put in Bass Blockers on those speakers so that they do not distort.

As for the idea of putting tweeters in the dash, I would suggest that you put them in you A pillar (the plastic that runs from the dash to the roof). Reson being is that like this you will not get as much of a refraction of the sound wave, making it a much cleaner sound.

What speakers are you referring to?

Will these work? They are also Infinities. I picked them up already but I can cancel if they won't.
