06 Taco Stereo install ?

Okay, first time Taco owner and love it! Problem though, I have a Rockford Fosgate head unit that was in my old Ranger. I can't seem to find a custom bracket anywhere that fits the 06 Taco. The universals look too boxy like they'd fit a less curvy dash. Any suggestions? I've looked at Rockfordfosgate.com, Crutchfield, and CarToys. Do they even make a custom for that model year?

And has anyone attempted a mod where they have taken out the underseat storage buckets (where the jack is) in back and replaced them w/ bass. My buddy has a Dakota that he got a custom box that fit right under the back seats. Anything like that for the 06?

Don't know what you could do if you're talking Mounting Cage for the HU, but I assume you're talking trim ring for the dash's appearance. If you can't find a kit, you could always make your own with some fiberglass.

And for prefabbed, taco-fit boxes, I think a few companies make them (Q-Forms probably, maybe JL) or you can hit up some custome box builders (Ask Cam2Xrunner, he's our audio guru around here, and he has a Taco) such as Mr. Marv.

Yeah, talking about the trim ring. I've looked quite a few places and can't find one. With the clock and emer flasher switch in there, it makes it kinda hard to use just any old thing. I guess I'll have to hit up my other buddy at the shop to have one made then.

Thanks for the other info also.

Installer is a good place for stuff like that (harnesses, trim, brackets, etc...).

And you're welcome.
