IPOD question?

Was wondering if there are other ways of transfering MP3 Onto my IPOD rather then using the Itunes software from apple's website.

Right now im using Itunes. The reason is that everytime i deleted a songs from my Itune library..and update my IPOD..it also deleted from my IPod as well.

Since i dont want to stored over a thousands of songs on my Laptop..i decided that i should use my Ipod as an external harddrive just to stored music. That will leave me more space on my labtop's harddrive to use it for other things,,such as computer games..other software and etcs..

You can use other software like Anapod, which will allow you to just drag and drop the files.

I've played around with Itunes and absolutely hate it, but I believe theres a option somewhere to change what happens when you delete a song from the library and do a update.

^ They have a free trial edition.

It shouldn't do that, you need to setup your itunes up to the manual mode. LIke 88le said, itunes is horrid, actually i hate ipods to begin with, just a whole bunch of hype IMO. Anyways if you set up to manual mode you can be safe with deleting it from your computers memory or the ituens library and you should be safe with your music on the ipod. I know how you feel. I had over 45 gb on my ipod and deleted it all on acident, not just from my ipod but from my itunes library, so i had to redo everything.

Honestly i don't remember exactly, I think is under the main cascades. YOu can access it through the options tab. Once there, it'll have more tabs, but the genreal tab is what you want. Under there you have the choice of transfering your music automatically or manually, choose manual, and there you go. Its something like that
