I'm gonna have to go RE on this one.

Edit: Didn't notice you're looking for "budget" here. If thats the case, the RE's can get real expensive, real quick.

Edit Again: and WTF? When did RE redo their site? And their subs?

No budget really. I just know it will be VERY EXPENSIVE. If I go four RE Audio XXX (Estmated $600.00 Each) in a ported custom box. I'm pretty sure I'll be powering each sub with one Hifonics BX2005D (Estimated 500.00 each) w/ Stinger Farad Caps, Stinger Alt., Stinger SPV35, SPV44, SPV70 Batteries. For my component systems i was thinking about sticking with RE Audio's XXX Series, powered by some more Hifonics Amplifiers?

Has anyone had any luck with Hifonics amplifiers Or RE Component Systems?

I've heard good things about hifonics for those on a budget. Lots of watts-per-dollar so to speak.

The RE comps, well, i've heard good things about RE all around, so I'd assume they're a safe bet.

Honestly, if I could afford it, I'd love to throw some RE goods in my car and try them out. As always though, check out e-bay for the goods, and maybe you can get a deal. Or even call RE direct and see if you couldn't work something out, since you'd be buying 2K plus worth of stuff (taxes and shipping).

You might wanna check out Ascendant Audio's stuff too. Comparable to RE (not wholly though) and a little less expensive. They've supposedly got some great stuff over there. maybe Adire Audio too.
