Certainly an option. However, that comes with a few caviots... As always, make sure the seller is reputable. Second, make sure you do the research on the products you're planning on buying. Third, make sure to read every word of the auction, making sure you're getting exactly what you're looking for. Fourth, watch out for shipping charges and what not. Sometimes the shipping might make or break the deal. You may find free shipping on another website for the same product and save yourself a few bucks. If you're buying used, make sure it works, verify pics, and keep in as much contact as you can with the seller. Lastly, if you do purchase, make sure that when the package is delievered, everything is alright before you sign for it.
Also, make e-bay stores have online stores seperate from e-bay. Or there are tons of online car audio stores that you can purchase from and still get good deals (especially if you're weary of buing on e-bay).
I just thought of another alternative...similarly to trying out the forums listed below, and others you may come across, there are plenty of members here that are always selling stuff, and usually have a large surplus of items. Some names that come to mind are specifically Cam2X (though he's busy with with his new shop I imagine) and Mr. Marv (who meanders in here from time to time). Actually, last I talked to him, Marv had all kinds of stuff (some nice stuff, and i'll probably get a lot of my next set up from him). Might give him a call (his number's in his signature on eca (
http://community-2.webtv.net/MarvsPlace/MarvsPlace/), and he has some recent posts). Good prices and a good guy (i'd do business with him before I'd hit e-bay actually).
