Question Where to put a subwoofer?

Ok so i am gettin a 1996 T100 on wednesday. It's a standard cab 5 speed, so i want to know where if any could I put a sub or subs in the truck. Crutchfield tech support says I can't do it on a standard cab, on ly on the extended version. But then i found a site that makes a box that says it will fit a standard > http://www.supercrewsound.com/shop/detail/11/214.htm

Anything is possible but there are always trade-offs and it's usually how much room you are willing to give up. Unfortunately in a standard cab the big trade-off could be that you may end up with the steering wheel/your knees in your chest depending on how big/tall you are. There are however many new shallow mount subwooders on the market that may work for you.

yeah i was kinda figuring that. I do have short legs but i don't know if they are that short, haha. Anyway is there a custom way to mount, kick panel subs kinda like crutchfield makes for the explorers? Or maybe somthin similar that someone has tried?

You could always do a fiberglass enclosure somewhere.

Ok so I finally bought a "slammer" 10" sub box from circuit city and loaded it with a sony x-plode from walmart, all costing only $110. Works perfect for what i need and can afford. The sub fits perfectly behind the passanger seat, and all i did to secure it was to run a strap across the box and use the built in tie downs on the truck.
