In my gen 3 i took out the back seat, unscrewed the screws but i can't manage to pull off the panel covering the 6x9s i know there are 6 clips holding it down, but damn i pulled as hard as i could anyone have any tips?

That's right , u have to pull it towards the front like 4-5'' and then u can go up an take it off. Hope u removed the screws that are holding it in place under the plastic caps, if not, ur just gonna break it !!
Almost forgot, u did take off the side panels right ????

You need to also take out the side pilars, otherwise you'll either damage the rear shelf or you'll brake it, so just to be on the safe side, grab a panel popper and take out the rear side pilars..
