gen5 sub question

I am thinking of adding a sub to my stereo system.
Currently, I have the ppi pc6600.2 6 ch amp running the whole system. 2 MBQ in the front, 2 Diamond Audio in the back.

what do you guys think? Should I get 1 of the JL Audio 10W6V2 or 2 of the JL 10W0 sub or 12W6v2 sub.

And what type of the sub enclosure should I get?

I am not a heavy bass lover, but I mostly listen to r&b and pop song or chinese song. so which model of the jl sub should I pick?

any suggestion will be appreciated.

Chinese song
haven't listen to enough of em lately
If you're not really a heavy bass lover then 1 of the 10" should be fine for you.

Infinity is good and cheap... Memphis audio is very good, seemed to be the brand of choice at the show I went to today. Alpine and Audiobahn are good too. Kenwood sucks, Pioneer probably isn't too great either. Maybe I'm not a good person to ask.

Thanks for all your helpful input.

Btw, how much do u think the installation fee gonna be for the following job:

1. Swap Amp (JL Audio 4 Ch to PPI 6 Ch)
2. Install a 10" Sub with a custom 10" sub Enclosure

Thanks!

Well, if u allready have the wiring done, swapping the amp takes less than 30 minutes. And usually a shop has prices on different boxes. However i may sugest getting two 10" subs. That is usually the standard and they sound great. Otherwise keep your seats down cause u won't hear anything with them up if you get just the 1 sub.

I have a single JL 10W0 in the trunk of my car and it rumbles just fine. IT's not as earth shaking as that car could be but that was not what I was looking for when installing it.

SMAN, if you aren't a huge bass head a single 10 will owrk great for you. The W6s are cleaner then my W0 but they require much more power but it sounds like you have a decent amp, others will have an opinion about whether or not it will power a W6.
