Well, I've been doing my senior project lately, and my product is to install a basic sub/amp system in my Gen 3.5 Camry. Anyways, I got the box and everything built, all of it is wired, and then the trouble starts. First of all, i noticed I had wired one of the subs backwards, so I corrected that and it started working fine. There was a huge rattle because I had not properly secured the plexiglass windows down to the box, so I used silicone caulking and about 10 more screws and secured that down. No more rattle. But now my subs will not hit at all whatsoever, other than an occasional sharp thump. The radio connection is not a problem, because I took it out of the dash and ran two RCA cables straight from the SW output to the amp. As far as I can see all the power/ground/system control wires are connected properly. I checked the Gain and it wont work no matter what setting I put it on. Here are the basics of my system:
Source Unit: Pioneer DEH-7600MP
Amp: Pioneer GM-520T Two-Channel Amp (760W max power)
Subs: Two Pioneer TS-301R 12" 800W Max (SVC)
Any suggestions or even wild guesses are greatly appreciated, as I am running out of ideas as to what the problem could be.

I reconnected all the wires on the amp, and still no result. All I can seem to get is a clicking and popping noise from the subs, kinda like there is a loose connection somewhere (but I can't find one anywhere).

Is the amp powering on completely? Or is it going into protect mode? That might be a cause of your problems. And it never hurts to completely disconnect and reconnect just to make sure the connections are secure.

It Sounds like u busted the subs see if any one ealse u know has a system and let u just test the subs and the box in there car if they work yo amp is messed up and if they dont work then your subs are blown what kind of amp and subs do u have???
check ground, check the fuse block from the battery... are there ports in your box? cause if not then there is no airflow for the subs cause it's 2 airtight with the plexiglass.
no, the difference is that on a sealed box there is not plexiglass in front of the subs. he said the box is plexiglassed in. and if you realize, plexi boxes have ports.
the subs have to either move the air behind the subs, or the air in front, that is what subs do, is move the air... it's hard to explain what i am trying to say, but if it is plexi'd in then it will have to have ports. you don't have to have them without, just like i have a sealed box, i am more of a fan of sealed than plexi though. i like the sound

i think you're confusing bandpass enclosures with sealed and vented enclosures. you can make sealed enclosures with plexiglass.
You can make anything from plexi (sealed, ported, bandpass, whatever...). However, what you're probably thinking of are bandpass enclosures with plexi windows (they're real popular in stores and whatnot.
