What is the best brand out their as far as In-dash Car CD Players?
I'm stuck between Pioneer and Alpine
Feel free to post your opinions I just want to hear, and thats about it!!!
You'll hear a lot of MacIntosh, Eclipse, Clarion, Nakamichi, and from there, it'll break down into specific models. As usual, "Best" is a relative and subjective term.
Personally, I've dealt with Kenwood, Alpine and Pioneer up to this point, and I'd have to say my P880PRS blows the other two brands out of the water (atleast of the decks I've dealt with).
Unless you're getting the upper eschelon decks from Alpine, I'd go with Pioneer.

I think the kenwood i had was better then the alpine my friend has.... the clarion i now have is way better then the one i used to have(the Kenwood kdc-316s) the clarion is about 2 years old and it was in the 350 to 400 range.
best way to tell which it bestis to, compare the features, then go listen to them. every one has differnt ideas on Best sound on a hu i like bass but still want to hear the mids but i hate highs so if you arte like me you will dislike the alpine be satififed with the kenwood and love the clarion.
P.S. i am just speaking on the genrael brand sound quality and features

I've gone though Clarion, Kenwood, and Alpine. I'm currently running on the CDA-9855 right now, and its hands down the best HU I've used. The glidetouch was a bit confusing at first, but now its all good.
But Pionner's stuff is good too, a lot of my friends use them.
ok pioneer for the money. I like the 6800 because of the easy tuning and the 16 band EQ. the lower end alpines are garbage with there 1 bit DAC. even decent jvc's have a 24 bit DAC. Just go pioneer
That's the one to buy man. It does 3 way active and has a killer 13 band l/r eq, time alignment, 24 bit dac, you can turn off the internal amp, it's elegant and sexy especially at night.

I have the 7800MP and it is the best HU I've ever had!!! I had the 4700MP and the 80MP I like the 80MP, but it kept blowing my JLTR Tweeters, and it had a heatsink in the back which I didn't feel right since my car stayed hot on the inside all summer. But with 16-bit EQ oh yeah I'm straight now... I might head towards the 9800BT sometime next year, but I haven't made my decision yet.

I don't even remember updating that thing!
I think stock, the 880 comes with blue led knobs and a white display. You can change pretty much anything on the deck (feature-wise), and I changed my knobs to white to match the display, and I eventually plan on putting some super-white bulbs in my gauge cluster, and even further down the line, whiting out all my lights in the dash. I'll try and get some pics tomorrow and post up.

pioneer.. right now i got the panasonic cq-5 something...the model from 2 yrs ago.... i love the look of it and the motorized face but its weak...weak bass without subs...my stock deck had better bass! i have a lower end pionner and it sounds just as good...so my next deck is gonna be pioneer .....
